I don't like having my photo taken, as most people. That's why I am the one behind the camera 90% of the time. But forcing myself to take self portraits gives me some freedom and expression about what I am going through at a certain point of time.

This "Mermaid World" 8x10 by Julie Kruger of jewelkrug. I am all about photographs that make you feel as if you're spiraling through some kind of awesome dream. You know, one of those dreams that you hate to wake up from ... you're shaken awake by your boyfriend, or the sun comes in through the shades, and you have that moment of "wait -- NO!!!" and you try your best to lay as still as you can as squeeze your eyes shut but it's all in vain. This is what this print is to me. Amazing that all of that, all those feelings and memories, could be embodied in just 8 inches by 10 inches. Kudos to you, Julie!
